InPEAT Advocacy Day
Feb. 15, 2020
InPEAT members have long indicated that advocacy is an important benefit of membership. Opportunities for involvement with legislators is always a request from members. In order to promote that activity, InPEAT is holding its first Advocacy Day at the Indiana State House.
When: February 15
Who is Invited: All Members of InPEAT
Cost: Free to members of InPEAT
Attire: Business or business casual
10:00 AM Advocacy Briefing - Issues & Storytelling (TCG Office)
11:30 AM Lunch on your own
12:30 PM Gather at Statehouse / Group Picture
12:30 PM Legislative Meetings – at Indiana State House
This is an opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes, meet your legislators, and share your stories with them. We want to make sure you are prepared for our day. To do that, we are scheduling a virtual training session on Friday, February 10 from 10:00 – 10:45 AM to share tips, answer questions and provide updates. You should have already received a calendar invite to the call. Even if you can’t join us at the State House, join the call to be better prepared for other meetings you may have with your legislators.
In addition to the virtual training, we will have logistic information, background briefing, and materials to leave with your legislators.
Register now. We will be setting up appointments for members who wish to meet with their representatives of the General Assembly. Be sure to use your HOME address when registering so we get you connected with the correct legislators.
We are unable to try to set appointments for registrations after February 1.
If you have staff planning to attend Advocacy Day but who are not in the InPEAT database, please send the following to email@example.com.
